What is the MP40 Comprehensive Plan? 📘

MP40 is Mount Prospect’s long-range plan to guide future growth, investment, and development. It will set community goals and priorities for the next 10 to 15 years.​

Why is the Village updating the Comprehensive Plan? 🔄

The current plan is nearly a decade old and the world has changed a lot since 2017. As the community evolves, it’s important to have an updated vision and strategy that reflect current needs, opportunities, and priorities.​

What topics will the Plan cover? 📋

The Plan will address land use, housing, transportation, economic development, parks and open space, sustainability, infrastructure, and more.​

Who is leading the planning process? 👥

The Village of Mount Prospect Community Development Team is leading the effort. A Steering Committee of community members and stakeholders is helping guide the process.​

How can I get involved? 🗣️

There will be many opportunities to participate, including community meetings, online surveys, pop-up events, and feedback tools on this website.

What’s the timeline for completing the Plan? 📅

The planning process will take about 18 months, with community engagement and draft recommendations throughout. A final Plan is expected in 2026.
